Cooking Suggestions
- Thawing: Best thaw in refrigerator overnight inside sealed packaging. For faster use, submerge sealed package in cold water. Never thaw at room temperature.
- Pan-sear: Pat fillet fully dry, season with salt, pepper and herbs. Place skin-side down onto preheated skillet over medium-high heat, cook 4-6 minutes until skin turns crispy, flip and cook another 2-4 minutes to desired doneness.
- Oven bake: Preheat oven to 190°C / 375°F. Lay fillet on baking sheet, brush lightly with olive oil. Bake for 10-14 minutes until flesh flakes easily with a fork.
- Sashimi preparation: Only use fully thawed high-grade fillet. Slice against grain, serve with wasabi, soy sauce and pickled ginger.
- Grilling: Use grill mat to avoid sticking, cook skin side down first over medium heat.
